An elderly motorist who was stranded on Boston Road in Billerica and a good Samaritan who stopped to help were both injured Saturday night when an oncoming truck struck the disabled vehicle, according to Deputy Police Chief Roy Frost The elderly man's vehicle broke down across from Town Plaza and he was trying to push it off the road, when a second motorist pulled over to help, according to a police statement. Due to an electrical malfunction, neither the headlights nor the taillights of the disabled vehicle were functioning when a southbound Chevy Trailblazer struck its left, rear end.
