That was the message from the state's highest court to Pagona Christakis after she argued, through her attorney, that the debts that triggered a lien on her three Billerica lots should have been erased in bankruptcy court. But in a decision on Wednesday, the state Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the liens by Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union and two credit-card companies on Christakis' 4 Vasa St. property with its two adjoining lots "survived" being discharged by bankruptcy, so under state and federal law she must pay up.
