A 22-year-old Lowell man described as a "predator" by prosecutors was sentenced to at least five years in prison after he admitted to using the controversial adult website Backpage.com to arrange "dates" with prostitutes to rob them, but he denied raping them. In Lowell Superior Court on Oct. 25, Christian Cepeda-Ortiz pleaded guilty to charges of armed robbery and armed assault with intent to rob.
