A 25-year-old Billerica man who told police his "crazy anger issues" led him to beat his girlfriend until she was left in a coma for months was sentenced to 13 to 14 years in prison. Jesse Fillerup pleaded guilty Wednesday to armed assault with intent to murder and mayhem in connection with the Nov. 10, 2016 beating of his girlfriend , with whom he lived at 50 Rogers St., in Billerica, according to court records.
