Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian announced Friday that the Middlesex Sheriff's Office will host three nights of a women's basic self-defense course beginning January 8. The class is free and open to any woman age 16 or over who is living or working in Middlesex County. "These classes are an opportunity for women to learn basic self-defense techniques and to build confidence in addressing potentially dangerous situations that can occur anywhere," said Sheriff Koutoujian.
