Lowell man charged in Billerica gas station robbery
A Lowell man who allegedly used his hand to imitate a weapon during the robbery of the Petrolex Gas Station at 1:55 a.m. Monday was arrested a couple hours after the crime, police said. Craig Hawkins, 57, of 15 Veterans Way, allegedly placed his hand inside his jacket pocket, pointing it toward the store clerk while demanding money, according to a press release from the Billerica Police Department.
